Has anyone heard anything about discounted broker commissions in this environment? I've heard 2% each agent for a co-broke deal contract signed last week in Manhattan. We're in a situation where the same broker can act as the buying and selling agent (one of those crazy "open" listings in the Hamptons). I think 1 commission of 3% is fair (versus the full 6% in this case). Or even 4%. Appreciate any thoughts.

Sorry, it's a co-exclusive, not open listing

How does the broker thing work in the hamptons? can I use an outside broker that I have worked with on the past negotiate a sale for me?
