How is the neighborhood? I hear there isn't much to do in Jersey City.

The area right around Trump is pretty dead; you need to go several blocks in either direction to get to anything. Warren and Washington streets to the South have some nice restaurants and shops, as does Grove Street. There are some decent bars on those streets as well, but nothing like NYC, much more relaxed. To the North is Newport, which is boring, and the mall doesn't have much to offer other than a Macys and Coach store.
It all depends on what you are looking for.

wife works in jersey city, we live in manhattan. From what I hear Jersey City is quiet and a lot of people travel to the city to go out to bars/restuarants.

This area is in the middle of nowhere. I looked in here and the building is nice but i was very surprised that Trump would even rent his name out for a building in the middle of an industrial zone. I would not even try renting in this!

Taking the PATH to get into new york to go out at night takes forever to get to any place you would want to go in Manhattan. If you live here you are stuck in the middle of nowhere.
