Located in South Brooklyn, Sheepshead Bay is a quiet, safe waterfront neighborhood. Recreational fishing boats and nightclubs are common sights along the neighborhood’s shores. Residents are attracted to the area’s reasonable real estate prices and top performing public schools. A recent real estate boom has added new condominiums to Sheepshead Bay’s housing stock of brick row houses. Prominent Jewish, Eastern European and Asian populations have been attracted to the neighborhood, and their influences can be seen in the Bay’s restaurants and commercial strips. Overall, Sheepshead Bay is growing at a pleasant pace, and the biggest complaint among residents is the lack of parking.
