Sunset Park
Located along the coast of central Brooklyn, Sunset Park is a neighborhood with strong ethnic influences. Brooklyn’s Chinatown, located along Eighth Avenue in Sunset Park, has Chinese, Malaysian and Vietnamese restaurants and street hawkers. Along Fifth Avenue, Little Latin America features live music and Latino restaurants. Low rent and brownstones have made Sunset Park a popular destination for immigrants but recently young professionals have been moving to the area in search of diversity and affordable prices. Ample park space, low crime rates and good transportation are also draws for this Brooklyn neighborhood – Union Square can be reached in 30 minutes by subway.
