Windsor Terrace
Located between Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery, Windsor Terrace is a small residential neighborhood popular among families. The area features limestone and brick row houses at prices more reasonable than nearby Park Slope as well as new condominiums. Heavy demand for real estate in Windsor Terrace is pushing the neighborhood along the path of gentrification. However, residents make an effort to maintain the authenticity and history of the neighborhood. Big name retailers and famous restaurants have yet to enter the area and longtime communities are still intact. Transportation in Windsor Terrace is good but the neighborhood’s distance from Manhattan, about 35 minutes by the F train to Midtown, is slowing its development.
