As the name would imply, this handsome tower was built by Donald Trump in 1991 and designed by Frank Williams, a top modernism architect, who’s numerous NYC projects include; a collaboration with I.M Pei on the Four Seasons Hotel, The Park Belvedere, The Belaire and The Gotham. At 55 Stories, is one of the tallest and most stately residential buildings on the Upper East Side. Its amber- peach colored brick is soft and inviting and reflects a warm aura. The face of the structure is a lively pattern of windows and balconies and is slightly Art Deco in feel. The top of the building casts an inviting glow at night making Trump Palace a recognizable beacon on the Upper East Side. Situated on half a city block on the East aside of Third between 68th and 69th Streets, the building has a garage as well as a lovely garden off 68th street adjacent to the charming town house section of the building.
The building was originally composed of 283 units, but there have been many combinations. Its upper floor large residences offer sensational and mostly protected views of Central Park, the rolling NJ Mountains, southward iconic midtown views and northeast — all the major up town bridges and Long Island sound. 20th Floor and above brings the larger units into play many with large set back terraces. Floors 10 through 19 feature just 3 units per floor and introduce the larger 2 and 3 bedroom units. Floors 10, 11, and 12 plus 14-19 have five units per floor. Studios and one bedroom units make up the majority of mix to the 10th Floor. One third of the building’s units are located in two attached structures; the Townhouse with its own entrance on 68th Street and East Wing. Due to the complex nature of its design, the building has an amazing amount of private outdoor space through out the building.
24/7 doormen and concierge, 5 Star white glove services, top notch security; as well as the on site garage, gym, laundry room, of course, pets are allowed – with a weight limit of 50 lbs. No pets for sub tenants and private deck make 200 East 69th Street truly a Palace.
