With 20 years experience as owner and creative director of Jungle Red Studios, a salon and design studio, located in Tribeca since 1979, Francine has been credited as one of the Pioneers who contributed to the “Downtown” phenomena that defines many of today’s markets. Through cutting edge events, performance, and high profile productions starting in 1977, “Jungle Red” became a notorious password to the Underground as Warhol defined it. She continues to make and show her artwork nationally and internationally. From 1989-1997 this artist made her home between Rome and Positano Italy. She speaks fluent Italian and celebrates any occasion to return to her second home.
An early loft dweller in Tribeca since 1979, Francine has been a visible presence in the community and the development of the “live/work” aesthetic that attracts buyers to this residential community today. She has lived through the conversion of her own building with 36 floor through loft spaces and as a result is knowledgeable about residential development and construction. She is a natural with a shrewd head for numbers combined with a refined eye for beauty.
