Elaine Clayman is consistently a top broker at Brown Harris Stevens. With $50 to $60 million in annual sales, she has sold an average of 100 properties every year for the past six years. As head of The Elaine Clayman Group at Brown Harris Stevens, she has achieved this remarkable sales volume through extensive research, consistent follow-through, and best-in-class purchase support. In 2004 and 2005, The Elaine Clayman Group was also named Brown Harris Stevens' “Relocation Broker of the Year.”
Elaine's professionalism and integrity stand out in the field. A born marketer, her creative insights have helped realize outstanding results for her clients. Before joining Brown Harris Stevens, she was president and founder of The Clayman Realty Group. Her company garnered unprecedented national media attention when she introduced the use of the American Express card to the brokerage community, employing well-known former Mayor Ed Koch as her spokesperson.
Continually sought out by major media outlets and industry associations as a leading residential real estate expert and thought-leader, Elaine's marketing triumphs have been heralded in The New York Times and Crain's New York Business on several occasions. She was named one of Manhattan's “premier brokers” by both New York Living and New York Magazine, and has been featured recently in New York Home, The Real Deal, Mann Report, smartmoney.com, and on WABC-TV and WFUV Radio.
Elaine and her team provide extensive end-to-end service and support for clients and customers. From initial consultation through accepted offer, she establishes aggressive, yet realistic, objectives for clients. Her analysis informs them of current market trends, and serves as the foundation of a comprehensive marketing plan for their property. By comprising a sound pricing strategy, Elaine helps clients secure the highest price that the market will bear in the shortest amount of time. When showing properties, Elaine highlights features using lighting, home staging and other presentational techniques to create an inviting, comfortable atmosphere for buyers. No one is ever turned down for a showing because Elaine has a powerful marketing team of five professional brokers who work with buyers, and four support staff—all licensed. As a result of her proven ability to market homes in “lifestyle” buildings, Elaine was appointed Broker Specialist for Brown Harris Stevens-managed luxury condominiums, The Oxford and Le Premiere.
Before launching her real estate career, Elaine's entrepreneurial spirit took her from teaching, to owning and operating an art gallery in Nyack, N.Y., to working as a fee-based financial manager, where she became enamored with the service business. Elaine lives in Manhattan. Her daughter Justine, a Senior Sales Associate who joined the group four years ago, continues the family tradition of consistent results-based success.
