James Everett Lewis is an Independently Licensed (Principal) Real Estate Broker in New York City. James opened Prime Property NYC ("PRIME") in 2011, after two very successful years at the well-respected brokerage, Halstead Property - where he was given four awards and was consistently in the top ten producing Agents in 2011.
James represents multiple high-profile Owners, as well as smaller Owners. He is known best for his ability to increase and maintain rent rolls, often listing apartments and renting them within a week or two at asking price. He is a professionally trained photographer, and advises on renovations and remodeling of apartments on a regular basis.
James is sought after by Owners and prospective Renters + Buyers alike due to his sharp negotiating skills and healthy level of exclusive inventory throughout the city.
James was nominated for REBNY's prestigious "Rookie Of The Year" Award in 2011, and was awarded "#3 Most Closed Rentals in 2011" by Halstead Property, as well as "Deal of the Month" for July 2011. He has also been awarded the title "Broker Of The Year" in 2011 and 2012 by Pistilli Realty Group.
James was accepted to - and attended Pratt's Architecture and Photography program in 2000, and has been in New York City since, having been the Visual Merchandising Manager for French Connection USA and the General Manager for Ben Sherman USA prior to entering the field of real estate.
James has rented well over 200 apartments, and increased rent rolls for his exclusively represented Owners by 26% during the challenging financial span from 2008-2011 via encouraging and granting financially appealing concessions for new tenants.
