Grades: PK-6 School: PS 102 Jacques Cartier in East Harlem

The mission of PS 102 is to create a school community with an atmosphere that is safe, nurturing, and challenging for all children. This is a shared responsibility by the school staff, the parents, and the community who recognize the creativity, differences, similarities, and the potential of all involved in the process. Our goal is to provide opportunities in which all children will develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and culturally. All children will be expected to perform at high academic levels in a vigorous core curriculum (Pre-Kindergarten – Sixth Grade). We will develop ongoing partnerships that encourage and assist each child in reaching his/her highest potential. Our students will master the tools of technology which will enable them to compete in a global society. It is our goal to equip children to become functional and productive citizens.
