What is it like to live here? Does anyone know what is going to happen to the lot next store?
Don't think anything is happening to the lot next store, at least in the next 5 years or so. If they build on that lot, they need to move the school off of Kent which is not easy to do. Also, don't see any developers rushing to build high rises along the waterfront considering the situation with the Edge and Northside Piers. I live close by, and prefer the South side. Quiet, but everything is close by. Also, the water taxi is great, and starting in January the City will financially support it, allowing for 7 day a week service, and more pick ups throughout the day.
I currently own and live in Manhattan and I am thinking of buying a 2 bed 2 bath in the C line.
Does anyone know if the C line is a good line to buy in?
How is the commute into downtown?
Also I am concearned that the in 440 Kent Ave, or the North tower the views will be blocked in the future. The 6th floor bearly clears the adjoining building?
Any and all comments welcomed.
A potential purchaser.
Went to see 22D in Schaefer Landing months back. Was surprised to see the unit was suffering from a lot of water damage around the windows. Might help explain the price reductions.
Soon after seeing the place I located this legal notice:
The Board has pursued legal action against the "defective design and contruction"... which might impact funding options.
If I recall correctly, we were also told that the lot next door had run out of funds to pursue a planned project and hadn't had progress in a while.... Don't know whether that's true.
Beautiful building though.
Thank you Mc33433
There are absolute baths being taken on these sales. Wow.
