Jimmy McMillan a registered Democrat, created his own Political Party [Rent Is Too Damn High] because the Democratic Party not only moved to the Right, and to the Left they moved completely out of sight. That gave the opportunity for the birth of the Rent Is Too Damn High movement from the movement a "New" Political Party was created, “The Rent Is Too Damn High Party”

Who wants to join my party? It's called "The Rent is Too Damn Low Party." Were a bunch of greedy alndlords. We hold our convention once a year where we bash our tenants and think of ways to make more money, liek shutting off the heat in the dead of winter.

Pres.
I'll join as long as those meetings are in Vegas and, we party with reckless abandon with our ill gotten gains. Pro death penilty(with greatly relaxed standards...screw DNA)/Anti-Choice on the abortion issue/blind eye wrt illegal immigrants, their familie's health education and welfare/no helmet laws/no federal health plan/no gun control or waiting periods, carry permits upon request/elimination of catalytic converters and any and all restrictions on emmisions/smoke cigeretts freely indoors and out with the removal of any and all warning lables. I know what's best for my body, your body, everybody.

Instead of "The Rent is Too Damn Low Party." let's call it 'National American Zealots Incorperated'

In fact, let me share a story with you...
I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President of the United States. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there. So I asked her, "If you were President, what would be the first thing you would do?" She replied, "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people." Her parents beamed.

"Wow...what a worthy goal," I told her. "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my driveway, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

Her parents still aren't speaking to me. (Made my day)!

we had a homeless person/begger near work a number of years ago. Folks here felt sorry and chipped in for a new pair of clothes. Next day he was back in the old clothes. We asked him... "The new clothes were bad for busines".

You guys are wasting your time. You can't convince ar to change her political views any sooner than you can convince ericho that LIC doesnt suck.

Political Preference is Half Genetic!:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,275293,00.html (the fair and balanced version)

They can't help themselves.

So please stick to arguing over whether real estate prices will go up or down. ;-)

Falco,

I almost got aroused reading that post. Thank you. You made my day.

Parables are fine as jokes. But if you think you are "cleverly" proving the point that homeless people should just stop being "lazy" and go out there and get a good-paying job, it failed. If only life was that simplistic...

> Political Preference is Half Genetic!:

The other half is what other folks tell you to do.

They do studies all the time where if you say to a democrat, how do you like the REPUBLICAN idea of xxxx or the OBAMA idea of YYY and the numbers slant incredibly. It seems like so few folks actually think for themselves, and follow moronic party lines.

PJC,

What about the guys that are there for YEARS? I'm not talking about family in a tough spot that's in a shelter, but the same guy I see day after day, year after year.

tongue in cheek.....you get that.......................right?

Tongue in cheek? Guys like me love jokes like that. What do you think we tell jokes about when you're not around?

Nice story, Falco. I think I had a left/right politics thread a while back. I'd be righter than right if it weren't for their policies on gay marriage, abortion, health insurance, taxation.

You guys are soft..why fall for Falco's story, yes it is funny, yes it is very logical, we all get that. When was the last time you or your neighbor in apt 7C mowed the lawn?, pulled weeds? Get it !! it's not about you. I had no idea the chip on your collective shoulders was so insecure. BOO! were you scared! Actually, ever since I moved to the city in 1988 I always thought the phrase "Next thing you know he'll be mowing your lawn", meant something entirely different.

Very recently, actually.

I have never understood how I vote Democrat and am joined by the same morons that are pro-abortion and anti-capital punishment. Yep, lets murder under unborn children but save proven murders. Seems odd.

Ah, I'm not anti-capital punishment in principle, and I think abortion is murder (but justifiable bcs rights of parent trump unborn child). OTOH, if one could keep any unborn child in suspended animation indefinitely at no cost, then yes, I would be anti-abortion.

p09, i'd think it would have become obvious over time that no political party will be all things to any person. or even the majority of things, these days.

apt_boy, once again you're wrong. but thanks for incorrectly speaking for me.

w34th, comparing me to ericho? that's just low. :)

Dictator for Life.

benevolent or no?

Benevolent to some (I think dolphins will like me, as will whales & baby seals). Malevolent to others.

I was once a President, it's not all its cracked up to be. Better to be an influence peddler. Or "K" Street whore.

alpie, didn't you read my update? politicians are not working girls, they're pimps.

oh emm gee. i just called p09 alpie. that's right up there with w34th comparing me to ericho.

p09, i apologize, it was the president reference that threw me. comment still stands otherwise, however.

I'm not "falling" for falco's story, I just love it. I retold it at work and my coworkers loved it. What's wrong with that? I love all sorts of crass un pc jokes.
