Kind of an unfortunate layout. It would be nice to take the center bedrooms and turn them into a big LR/DR so there isn't a big hallway eating up space. Then you could take that eastern wing and turn it into 1 giant master BR or 2 BRs. Maybe move the kitchen to where the middle bathrooms are?

Or for the cost of renovation you could just upgrade your search to a place with a better layout and has probably been renovated.
