Last summer there was a murder of an 89 year old man in this building;
it was on a low floor and how would that effect the sale?
also, who approved the lobby renovation?
just way too much marble and mirrors.
and why didn't they make the lobby handicapped accessible.

Yesterday June 6th 2012, Aljulah Cutts, 30, of The Bronx was convicted of murdering Guido Felix Brinkmann on July 30th 2009.
It happened in Apartment 4-H, which is now up for sale for the first time by the sponsor or by someone who bought it from the sponsor on spec with the tenant in place. Mr. Brinkmann was a 1970s rent stabilized tenant with a parking space included in his rent; he never bought when the building went co-op in the early 1980s.
Do you think the real estate brokers are going to mention the murder to all prospective buyers?
I also wonder if the building has upgraded their security cameras as certainly more unconcealed and obvious cameras might have deterred this murder. In this doorman building, after killing Mr. Brinkmann the murderer dragged Mr.Brinkmann's unopened safe out of the apartment,down the back staircase from the 4th floor to the unmanned basement garage, lifted the safe into Mr. Brinkmann's car and easily drove out of the building.

The doorman needs to be keeping an eye on the security cameras which he can't do if he's busy on his laptop.

if the apt. sells for north of 300k, Id be surprised.
its listed as a "wreck", not sure what kind of politically correct word that is for some place that had such a tortured murder of a Holocaust survivor.
it will need minimum 50k for a decent gut rehab.
between the owner paying $1450/month and the coop board, you would think they would want someone in there to get this behind them asap.
why has it taken this long to get to market? because of the trial?
the defense and DA really took their time getting the trial going, almost 3 years.
They've been waiting for huntersburg to get his show "Ghosthuntersburg" on the air.
He went over there last week with a night vision camera and lots of gadgets.
Murder is no joke, but I'm not kidding about the possibility that the place has a bad feeling/vibe.
and maybe a ghost scares the super when he goes in there.
the producers of "Ghosthunters" told me that they are contacted by Manhattan residents but can't investigate because the co-op boards won't allow them into the building. Even if they don't identify the address or film the exterior of the building on the show.
One must always keep in mind to put a positive spin in a negative situation.
For example, there was a recent suicide in our building, the resident jumping from a high floor apartment & landing on the street below.
After the estate was settled & the unit put up for sale, one of the features touted in the ad was,
"Just steps to the Avenue...especially if you take the window!"
It sold within one month.
