Discussion about 1235 Park Avenue #PH
stunning design. when i win megamillions tomorrow night can soemone email me the name of the architect/designer. love it.
Looks like the owner is hoping to win the Lotto too. $5MM in 2007; $10.75MM in 2010. Even with the renovation, that markup seems ambitious. The market for penthouses in upper Carnegie Hill hasn't been very healthy (see 1158 Fifth Avenue, 7 East 96th, etc.).
Ambitious is right. The views are pretty dreary, it being low for a PH, and they cheaped out by not replacing the building's standard Ecker-style windows in bedrooms and baths. Otherwise a good renovation, and great photos at Heddings' site.
Architect was Motzkin-Blum.
@West81st - uhm the apartment closed already so obviously someone has good tastes and thought the price was worth it.
@NWT thanks for the Motzkin-Blum info, where/how did you find that out.
Deanc: not hard to figure out, just go to BIS website to find out which architect filed the job.

deanc, the bigger question is how do you know the apartment closed before Streeteasy?
