And speaking of govt. workers, today's graphic of the day:
Your point being that the current firefighters are incompetent, so we need to add more?
lucille and huntersburg infiltrate the Sea Orgs!
vote obama or god will smite thee with wildfires?
Next Obama will want more government employees to prevent forest fires. Then we can hire more government employees to prevent tropical storms, and more to prevent tornados. And, when there is a drought he can hire more to do a rain dance. To ensure tenure they all have to be kept on payroll when it rains because it may stop raining and let's give them all pensions whem they turn 40 because they can't dance any more because they all sat around all day when iit was raining and they all got fat and stupid because they had no other skills besides rain dancing.
Sounds dumb right? Well that is how fuking stupid a Socialist sounds!
They wouldn't have got fat and stupid if they had been required to buy brocolli.
>Next Obama will want more government employees to prevent forest fires.
Seems like an insult to the current employees, that they can't handle their job without more money, other employees.
Govenment can't solve all problems.
What can they do for Jason?
Send him back to Cali .,, back to Cali...,
brooks2, looks like you only support hiring more troops to kill ?
Imagine, the Dems in the State Legislature being more fiscally responsible than CNBC's favorite gov.
he's too fat. if he cannot regulate his own eating habits, imagine a whole country!
Nope, don't think we should hire more troops. Bring them home, have them help put out the forest fires. Our troops are highly skilled and motivated. But I don't think they should be fighting someone elses war either.
happy 4th, streeteasy!
Yes, let's all reflect on why we celebrate this day.
Sure Brooks2, rub it in to Jim Hones' wife who doesn't celebrate independence.
maybe she should leave back to go where you came from.
That makes no sense.
Forrest fires are an essential element to Earth.
We've battled and contained so many that we likely have sowed the seeds for much worse future fires.
Redwoods for example, the seeds are so tough they only open in the heat of fire.
Sorry but for all the "idiots" who keep parking their trailer home in tornado alley and expect a new outcome, the same can be said for million dollar kindling homes in the woods.
Or the millions worth of drift wood homes on the beach
"We didn't start the fire
it's been burning, burning
since the world's been turning..."
"Christie Shouts at a Constituent" [video]
it's funny when he yells at people but he can't be vp with a temper like that.
Reminded me of dad, pre-insulin diabetic days.
One can't help but wonder what's his blood sugar level.
>it's funny when he yells at people but he can't be vp with a temper like that.
We are facing tough times lucille. Did you see the recent video of Obama with Putin?
>"Christie Shouts at a Constituent" [video]
Would you rather he yelled at some idiot from California instead?
I did not. Link it please?
"Once hyped as VP contender, Christie now appears forgotten"
Christie's too big to be forgotten. Have we forgotten President Taft?
Jason, were you expecting that the morning following the VP candidate announcement, that the talk shows would be talking about someone else? The article is idiotic and partisan. Reposting it ... nobody here ever accused you of being that bright, or fair.
Some guy names Christie is going to give Keynote speech at the Rep party convention
chrisie (this name from the thread topic is much better actually) will make a much much better vp candidate
righ now with that out-of-mind extremist, just feel like drinking poison for dirsty when voting for romney
caonima, why do you always post after Brooks2 but you never address him?
"...“I wanna tell you something. I’ve been a little bit disappointed at the volume of noise on the floor at that convention the last two nights...
...After showing a clip from the breakfast, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said that Christie was looking to blame others for his performance...."

Blame for what? Chris Matthews didn't believe Christie lived up to JFK's standard of having affairs in the White House?
Karl Rove said the speech was "very well done"
Matthews is spending too much time with Ed Schultz and Al Sharpton.
And Rove is spending too much time being Rove.
How can someone spend "too much time" being themselves?
Christie was fantastic. The people criticizing are the extreme right wing and the extreme left wing. So you have Matthews in the same camp as the extreme right.
Why is Matthew's only true hero a dead president who was a philanderer, none of whose offspring and relatives has ever lived up to anything? No one alive is good enough or Matthews?
chrisie (being consistent with the thread topic) was soso in the rnc speech, but he's already the best one among other extremist
too bad those crooks hijack our republican name and shut out ron paul
Even Bruce Springsteen admitted that to me.
Bruce gets government $$ for leasing out acres of his N.J. property for farming.
^^another trolling comment from alanhart^^
I wasn't talking to him.
I wasn't talking about him.
But apt23 and Ottawa are around to read his fine drunken troll comment.
Oh come on now Truth. Ottawanyc is just Canadian. You can't blame him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxPRHXgYVlk
"Report: NJ's revenues fall short for fiscal 2012"
How are things in Governor Moonbeam's state?
cold & damp
"N.J. Struggles to Come Back
S&P Revises State Outlook to Negative, as Fed Official Offers Tepid Assessment...
...More fuel was added to a debate over Gov. Chris Christie's handling of the state budget Tuesday, with Standard & Poor's Ratings Services lowering its outlook on the state's debt to negative from stable, and a Federal Reserve official offering a lukewarm assessment of the state's recovery from the recession..."
Cuomo gave the ratings agencies a free pass on their frauds in rating mortgages, so to repay, they come back and attack Chris Christie.
First show of 3. Beautiful weather. Great show.
No curfew at the stadium.
Day 2 of Bruuuce! 9/21/12
The weather is cooperating.

Day 3 of Bruuuce!
The N.J. Attorney General's sister was ejected from the stadium the other night for being drunk and fighting with people.
She's been trying to get back in to see the show.
She should log on to se, where she would have alkie company.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is raising record cash for his re-election bid. A November landslide may help heal rifts with fellow Republicans and boost his standing as a possible candidate for president in 2016.
In December, before Democrats had even rallied around a candidate, Christie had amassed almost as much as he raised in the entire 2009 primary. He has since begun an out-of-state fundraising swing, with an event last month at Facebook Inc. (FB) co- founder Mark Zuckerberg%u2019s California home and an appearance last week in Wisconsin with Governor Scott Walker.
The zaftig man rocks (he lost a few pounds recently).
Who is behind this hit?: http://www.onenewjersey.org/
Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey won re-election by a crushing margin on Tuesday, a victory that vaulted him to the front ranks of Republican presidential contenders and made him his party’s foremost proponent of pragmatism over ideology.
Mr. Christie declared that his decisive win should be a lesson for the nation’s broken political system and his feuding party: In a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans by over 700,000, Mr. Christie won a majority of the votes of women and Hispanics and made impressive inroads among younger voters and blacks — groups that Republicans nationally have struggled to attract.
“I know that if we can do this in Trenton, N.J., then maybe the folks in Washington, D.C., should tune in their TVs right now and see how it’s done,” Mr. Christie told a packed crowd at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, where his musical idol, Bruce Springsteen, holds holiday concerts, and where red and blue lighting gave the gathering a presidential campaign-like glow.
