We are moving back to NYC and we are looking for landlords, who will take our 2 Golden Retrievers. We went up this past weekend to look and came across only 1 place that may take them.
We are looking for anything in the Upper West Side or Upper East, Murry Hill, Grammercy, Hells Kitchen and Village East or West. We need at least 1 BR in the $2200-2600 range. We like walk ups and tree lined streets, but anything will be ok.
Any suggestions?

As yknp said there have been several threads on this in the past. Most walk-ups for going to be owned by individuals rather than large landlords. They are more likely to have an issue with two (or even one) dog. I recall that the Extell buildings on the UWS and the Related Rentals (there are lots around town) buildings are pet friendly. A lot of there buildings in FiDi would also be fine with two goldens. To be honest - your biggest problem is going to be finding a 1 BR for under $2600. I haven't looked for a rental in a while but my understanding is to find something somewhat nice in a decent location (and certainly with "tree-lined streets") is going to cost well in excess of $2600/month. I would expect a nice one bedroom in a good location is well over $3500/month these days.

To save you the trouble - here are a few places in FiDi that I would expect to be ok with 2 Goldens. 63 Wall; William Beaver House; 75 Wall (these are condos but they have a rental office and rent about 2/3 of the building); 20 Pine (these are condos but there are a lot of individual LLs; I'm sure many of them would be fine with 2 goldens); 200 Water; 95 Wall.

Battery Park City is dog friendly and has 3 listings <=$2,500

You definitely will not find a decent one bedroom at that price where you are looking. Seriously move to Brooklyn and get a decent place near a nice park. I agree that $3500 is your minimum in decent part of Manhattan.

I don't know about with 2 large dogs, but $2600 is an OK budget for a walk up 1 bed in hell's kitchen, the UES or even the UWS

With the 2 large dogs, the OP would probably be better off with a bigger place in Jersey or Westchester anyway

The mistake would be to read any of your BS, jim_hones10. Their apartments are available for a NO FEE if you call them directly. If you ask a twisted broker they will LIE and tell you that Broadwell will refer you to them so they can get steal from you their 15% fee.
I would call all rental managment companies first before going through you schisters, who expect to get paid for doing shit.

I know the trump buildings on Riverside Boulevard are very dog friendly and you might be able to find a large studio or a small 1 bed on a low floor for that price range.

Why would any landlord give a real estate agent an exclusive listing? It is just going to drive away tenants who don't want to deal with a broker. A trained monkey can do the work of a broker - why would I pay for the service?

This post is out of control. Thanks so much for the nicer comments. We found a great person to work with and they all accept dogs of any size in our price range. Already have seen several apts. we like.

The Ageloff Towers in the East Village is an extremely dog friendly Coop that normally has 1BRs for rent startign at $3,000. Honestly I think the more dogs the better from the Board's pov!

I remember one comment in a New York Times article that was very helpful. If you have the time, go to dog parks in the neighborhoods you want to live in and ask people with big dogs where they live! Most people rent in NYC so you'll probably get some useful feedback.

Try Rivertower 420 E 54th St. You can go direct to them and very dog friendly building.
