New to the NYC. Comments (pro and con) on this area will be appreciated
Very commercial right? Best things are proximity to department stores and Barnes/Noble. Traffic bunches up on 3rd approaching the Queensboro Bridge. Very easy access to other neighborhoods in Manhattan but not very neighborhoody itself.
between 3rd and 2nd, and 2nd and fist, between 56th-50th or so is great, quiet, etc.
if i had to choose one of the more awful places to live in nyc, this zone would be an easy pick
Its not awful if you are on a high floor. Its very convenient for the NRQ & 4/5/6 plus two cross-town buses at 57th. And lots of grocery stores and such nearby. But it is VERY commercial.
