I believe the route is going to stay the same in which the dumps will line up on 1st ave to 86th street and hook the right on 90th or 92nd when there is room for them to move.

Ouch. Thank god I backed out of the low west facing apts on the east side of 1st ave at 86th street.

burden of proof is on the plantiffs. they will have to get an injunction to stop it from going forward. get your masks while they are cheap.

I've been regularly checking apt listings in Yorkville for 1-2 years now. Took a break for awhile and just the other day happened to be scanning some new listings. I was surprised to see what I thought what a palpable drop in listing prices. Lots of 1BR under $600K, sometimes well under. Also easy to find 2BR under a million, sometimes as low as $800K. Just a year ago, this kind of pricing was rare and often limited only to places with unusually high maintenance. Would be interesting to see what the official data show. I gotta think this is an effect of the WTS becoming more of a reality.

upper yorkville, my new phrase, thank you

and yes, yorkville may well be the current under-performer champ of all of NYC RE

for many reasons, incl 2nd ave subway issues, and now garbage issues
