I just had a reasonably sized (7' long x 8' high x 1' deep) built-in bookshelf installed in my apartment. It's constructed of MDF that has been primed but I need to have it painted. Also, I'd like to have an ikea dresser painted as well (if possible). Any suggestions for a painter for this job?

Djag, might I ask how much your builtin cost? We are looking to do a 15 feet long/9 (ceiling ) hi, and about your 1 foot deep. Are you happy with it? If so, would love to know who built it. Thanks.

palamalou: I am getting built ins done for a closet and have some estimates. Based on mine I would guess yours, for the millwork, installation and decent wood would be 4000.

@palomalou cost was $4500. I am happy with it so far but I'm not sure I would recommend the builder as his communication was seriously lacking (i.e., no reply emails, phone calls, etc.). It got done but there was lots of anxiety along the way.
