I am wondering about the standards applied to greying out posters and reinstating them. I see some posters greyed out only for a very short period of time and suddenly reinstated to not being greyed out, whereas the others continue to be greyed out. I am sure you know the poster/s I am talking about. If some of these posters were to be banned from posting permanently, it would make the board more attractive to a wider audience. Is $10 a month revenue too much of a loss for Streeteasy?

Wouldn't they get their advertising revenue based on how many hits they get a day? Wonder if removing their most active members would actually be good for the bottom line? Maybe greying them is their half solution. I wonder how many people read the grey? I tried the other day to poor results.

Ottawa, My first question is going from grey to un-greyed. Wondering what it takes SE to un-grey some one?

300: Who knows? I actually initially thought it was when you hit the ignore, so it was self-selecting. Wonder if they actually have a moderator. And Brooks: sorry I do not entertain you sufficiently - it truly is my goal.

Can't say for sure...it's a very grey area...

I always read the greys. If I didn't I wouldn't be long Sprint at $2.70. "The greys are dead. Long live the greys."

I was ungreyed. But I was only greyed because a particular hypocrite (who was doing everything he complained about) went after me. I missed an e-mail from them, otherwise it wouldn't have happened... but once I found it, it was all good.
