There was a lot of litigation regarding insurance coverage post-9/11. The commercial market took a long time to pick up, and there are still a lot of space that is unfilled in the city, so rebuilding would have just added to the glut.

Unfortunately this is one side effect of the financial strain in California.
The crazies and those nearing their end of life no longer see California and San Francisco in particular as such a carefree easy money pot of sunshine to take care of them and the medical and social problems brought on by their own irresponsibility. So some decide to venture to NYC and take on our tax base. "Oh but I'm here for the Broadway shows and to see the sun set over the Empire State Building".... right, you just want those free meal deliveries and AccessARide trips to your clinic appointments.

I'm extraorindarily wealthy and don't need anything from New York other than the fabulous people who are here, not some miscreants with no money, nothing to do but bitch and make fun of people who are so very much more successful than they............................ As to medications, hopefully I won't need what it is that huntersburg and aboutready should or are taking.................
