Hi All,
We are renovating a galley style kitchen (7 x 13), with counters on both sides and plan to move the gas stove from side to the other. The building manager told us we need an LAA (limited alteration) permit. Our contractor has indicated it could take our plumber ~6 weeks to get. Does anyone know how long it takes typically? Apparently other people in our line have switched the position of the stove, and the line is run under the floor. The distance is literally ~3 to 4 ft. We don't have an architect/engineer, is it worth paying an expediter to handle this one thing? Or should we just let the contractor's plumber handle it?

A plumber can get an LAA permit in 1 day. A plumber, the last I checked can do everything online.

We were hearing conflicting things from the contractor and from looking it up online. Hence why we thought it would be great to hear from the folks on streeteasy
