building at 141 Fifth Avenue

I have a listing in contract there the last time I spoke with them I was told early 2009.

The One Ill Building? (oh, I meant the "O'Neill Building," sorry!) Mariska Hargitay of "Law and Order" fame (and grand-daughter of Jayne Mansfield, I believe) bought a penthouse at 141 after selling her joint in TriBeCa, and now she's been trying to flip her 141 PH before even closing and moving in.

Malraux - there was a blurb about that in page 6 - said she needed to sell because her son got into an uptown private. I doubt it since he's only 2 and would be interviewing now for admission next year - but who knows?

2 years old, and already in an uptown private? Like she didn't know she'd be trying for one? Like she can't afford a private livery service for junior to ferry him to and fro? Sheesh. That's nutty...

actually the Oneil building is 655 sixth and Mariska is Jayne Mansfield's daughter, and she did flip that penthouse (for about 15% more then she paid), see link for insiders

i've been told the same - early 2009 timeframe - but the building seems a long way from finished. has the back wall even been reconstructed yet? i've heard about some nightmares at 15 madison square north (also a renovation), so i'm wondering if this is going to be more of the same ...

cc - mine is in school too - he is a young 2 - actually born the same day as my daughter. He is a very sweet kid too I don't know any "top" ps which a 2.2 yo would qualify. I know this year he could go anywhere. Anyway - obviously they can afford car service every day if they wanted to remain downtown. Not sure if they moved since I still see them in the hood.

any details on closing time yet?

Any new information regarding this building? It has has scaffolding on it now for over 5 years! What is going on?
