If you are under 6' don't think it would be too claustrophobic. It is far from optimal though. I would never want to live in a basement, if there is a fire, there is no escape. The air is dank and there is no light. I would value basement SF at 50% off or more.</p> <p>The units higher up are perfectly serviceable, just small. The finishes are not quite the "luxury" they profess them to be but the ceilings are high and airy. Good as a starter apartment if the prices come down, still high per SF.
