The upper boundary is probably just above 98th Street on Fifth Avenue. 1165 and 1170 Fifth are most definitely Carnegie Hill, not East Harlem. I'd put the southern boundary around 91st, though that's arbitrary.</p> <p>The half-mile above 1170 Fifth Avenue is so dominated by the hospital that it might as well be called Klingenstein Heights. I understand why calling 1200 5th avenue "East Harlem" may have hurt their sales, and it was too far uptown to still call it Carnegie Hill, so this was an interesting idea.
