Try to contact the board members individually and ask for the process to expidited based on your limited time window. Does not sound like your doing anything that requires long term consideration. I'll bet you're just waiting for a board meeting to transpire so a vots can be taken to approve your plan. The frequency of the meetings might be the hold up. Summer is a time for limited meetings (in general).

I am planning a kitchen remodel which is mostly cosmetic. I am not removing any walls, moving any plumbing or changing the appliance configuration. I submitted my board package nearly 5 weeks ago but still do not have approval to start (I live in a co-op). Two weeks ago the board asked for clarification on a couple of minor points which I responded to that day. Since then silence. I have a contractor waiting and a limited window to work in. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the board to be more responsive?
