Gramercy Park

Gramercy isn’t just one of NYC’s only private parks; it’s a small, quiet residential enclave tucked in an urban section of Manhattan. You’ll need a key to enter the actual Gramercy Park, but anyone can live in its namesake neighborhood. In the early 20th century, Gramercy was synonymous with luxury, with some of the most prominent New Yorkers living in grand houses along the park itself. Today, Gramercy is a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Manhattan that still retains an old-world vibe. The quiet commercial stretch down Irving Place offers a mix of local shops, restaurants, and pubs, and as you head further east, the avenues get busier. Casual side streets are lined with walk-ups and large apartment buildings, while the blocks surrounding the park attract residents looking for a quintessentially nice NYC neighborhood.

The neighborhood is very safe and boasts many doorman buildings. It is also conveniently located to most subway lines and a quick walk to Union Square.

Real estate in the gorgeous Neo-Gothic and Greek Revival buildings does not come cheap.
