Want to live on the Brooklyn Bridge and have access to a High Line-like park? There are still about 30 units left for rent at the 17-story glass apartment building 60 Water, which abuts the famous bridge that connects lower Manhattan to Brooklyn.
“We’re at about 90 percent capacity,’’ said Gabby Soffer of Two Trees Management, which brought 60 Water to the market after a decade of planning and development.
With 290 units ranging from studios to 2 bedrooms, 60 Water is offering incentives to renters that lease some of the remaining apartments that boast views of Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges, while other units have terraces or dens/office space. Incentives include at least one month of free rent and a year of free parking for 1-year leases; two months free rent and a year of free parking for 2-year leases. Just get ready to shell out some cash for the no-fee rentals.
Unit #301 is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom at 60 Water with $6,588 monthly fee.
Unit #712 is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit ($5,436) from which you can see the bridges right out your windows.
Unit #314 is a 452-square-foot studio that is the least expensive rental at 60 Water ($2,958).
The building also includes a shared roof deck designed by James Corner Field Operations, the group of landscape architects that dreamed up the High Line park in Chelsea. The rooftop garden at 60 Water is 6,000 square feet and contains some pretty cool plants: Korean feather reed grass, Moor grass, coneflowers, yarrow and calamintha. The walkways and sitting areas also contain some shallow pools — for toe dipping.
