Affordable Housing Lottery for Rockaway Beach New Development Ends Dec. 27

An affordable housing lottery opportunity has recently landed in Rockaway Beach. NYC Housing Connect and developers for 9306 Shore Front Parkway have announced a lottery for 63 units at this new building in southern Queens.

The building is from Lemle & Wolff and will offer the 63 units (ranging from studios to 3 bedrooms) to applicant pools according to three different levels of income restrictions based on 40 percent, 50 percent and 130 percent of area median income. At the lower end of the scale, earners can show income between $18,275 to $25,400 for a studio unit. At the higher end of the scale (130 percent AMI) , a greater number of units are available for earners making between $42,858 for a single person and $136,630 for families of 6 people. There are also asset limits. See details below:

You can assess your eligibility at the NYC lottery information link. Or you can use this application form from Lemle & Wolff, which outlines guidelines and procedure. The lottery closes Dec. 27, 2016. The 9306 Shore Front building will contain an intercom lobby, indoor recreation space, laundry, storage and parking.
