Keith Richards and Patti Hansen may want out of their fabulous $12.23 million penthouse at 1 Fifth Avenue, but one of the building’s many celebrity residents likes this Greenwich Village building so much, he’s signed on for a second apartment.
According to The Real Deal, director Brian De Palma is the buyer of the $2 million apartment at the 198-unit co-op. He is said to have paid $1.8 million for the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit. This residence is located on Washington Mews, in one of the low, two-story buildings on this very quaint street. The famous director (“Carrie” and “Scarface”) has owned another apartment in the building since 1989.
