The full shutdown of the L train stopped in its tracks. Governor Andrew Cuomo called a halt to the MTA’s much-discussed plans for a 15-month shutdown of L train service between Brooklyn and Manhattan. He says a new technology is available that will allow the train to run normally on weekdays, while crews can fix the Canarsie tunnel over nights and weekends.
