Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Sell Park Slope Townhouse for $6.5M

In September 2017, two years after buying a nifty townhouse in Park Slope and showering the 5,200-square-foot beauty in $300,000 worth of renovations, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are calling it quits. Not on each other. Just the Brooklyn property, which the celebrity couple say they are selling because they just don’t spend enough time there.

And now comes word via Curbed that the gorgeous townhouse has sold, reportedly for $6.562 million. According to the listing, the townhouse went into contract on March 10 and was taken off the market on April 27. The original price of $8 million is still reflected on the listing page.

“The house is so special — someone who can spend every night there should have it,” Krasinski told the Wall Street Journal, noting that, due to the nature of their work, he and Blunt have been “nomads for a while now.”

The 1909 townhouse at 586 Fourth St. was originally listed for $8 million. That’s exactly $2 million more than the couple paid in 2016, when Blunt (start of “The Girl on the Train”) and Krasinski (a former cast member on “The Office”) chose this property over others they had viewed in Manhattan.

The listing is held by Corcoran (Karen Talbott and Kyle Talbott), and features 7 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. The renovations were done by Michael Ingui of Baxt Ingui Architects, who married the classic turn-of-the-century features and charm of the property (bay windows, original floors and fireplaces) with modern updates. The home is located within the Park Slope Historic District.

There’s a parlor, outdoor garden and backyard area, and a guest suite and laundry room.
