The median asking price for a home in Astoria was $890,000 this April according to the StreetEasy Data Dashboard. Our Deal of the Week is priced $350K below the median asking price!
Buyers who put down a 20% down payment of $108,000 can expect to see monthly payments of $3,891. This includes a mortgage payment of $2,937 and a maintenance fee of $954.
If you’re not into the idea of one giant room serving as an entryway, dining area, living room and kitchen, then this is the apartment for you. Everything has a designated space, but the rooms all flow into one another thanks to large, open archways. Enter the unit through a foyer with a large closet, and then step into a space that would work great as a dining area. Alternatively, you could turn it into a home office space. Through this room you can enter the living room, which has two west-facing windows.
The kitchen is located off of the living room through another archway and a two-seater breakfast bar. Not only does the kitchen also have a window, but it’s decked out with full-size appliances, including a dishwasher. There’s also plenty of cabinet space for storage.
Like the kitchen, the bathroom is also windowed. And there’s a full wall of cabinetry — the perfect spot to store linens and toiletries — in addition to a built-in hamper. The large bedroom is located near the bathroom. You’ll find another closet in this room, plus one north-facing and one south-facing window. It should be easy to fit furniture such as nightstands or dressers into this room, in addition to a king-sized bed.

This Astoria 1-bedroom is located in The Concord, a historic co-op that has some modern amenities, including an elevator and laundry facilities on the first floor. Residents also have access to a community garden, additional storage, a 24/7 virtual security system, live-in super, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building. The co-op is located just a couple blocks from the N/W trains at Broadway, and is surrounded by tons of great restaurants on 31st Avenue, 31st Street and Broadway, including Sanford’s, King Souvlaki, Milkflower, and Mom’s Kitchen & Bar. The Astoria ferry terminal and beautiful Astoria Park are less than a mile away. Other nearby attractions include Socrates Sculpture Park, Rainey Park and of course, the Astoria Costco.
Although there are lots of windows throughout the unit, you likely won’t get a lot of light in the dining area, which doesn’t have any windows. Aside from that one drawback, there isn’t a lot to nitpick about this one. Be sure to shortlist it if you’re looking to buy in the area!
