Best feature: A listing in one of downtown Manhattan’s ritziest neighborhoods for $2,600 is attention-grabbing, but what really sets this place apart is its setup and size. This is no tiny, dark shoebox atop a six-story walk-up: It’s on the second floor of charming three-story townhouse built in 1910. Inside, the apartment offers hardwood floors and a spacious layout with an updated kitchen (with dishwasher!) and marble-tiled bathroom. Large windows overlook the rear courtyard.
Why it’s a deal: The median rent for a 1-bedroom in Gramercy Park is $3,950. At $2,600, this Gramercy Park 1-bedroom rental is a good $1,350 less than that.

Biggest drawback: The listing description says there are many closets, but the images do not reveal any. Without a floor plan, it’s hard to tell. It also mentions a fireplace, also missing from the images — we hope that was simply an oversight on the photographer’s part, but we are not going to hold our breath.
