A huge opportunity has just opened up for renters eager for a place along the waterfront in Brooklyn Heights.
The new development at 15 Bridge Park Drive will offer 100 apartments via an affordable housing lottery. Fifty of the units are slated for income earners who make up to $199,650, which is a pretty unprecedented sum even with all the NYC Housing Connect lotteries aimed at middle-income earners. Here are the details:
The rental development was designed by mega-firm ODA New York and is part of the Brooklyn Bridge Park complex at Pier 6, which spans a massive 423,000 square feet. This rental building will contain a total of 140 units, while a larger complex at the Quay Tower at 50 Bridge Park Drive will include luxury condos and market-rate apartments for a total of 339 units. It’s due for occupancy in 2019.
Both sites offer stellar views of the Manhattan skyline, New York Harbor, Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Amenities include a fitness facility, residents’ lounge with a terrace, children’s playroom, and a landscaped roof terrace.
