J. Crew's Mickey Drexler Relists Tribeca Condo for $18.5M

There’s no doubt that the Tribeca townhouse owned by J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler is gorgeous. From the tasteful interior — something only a French designer could pull off — to the sheer size and scale of the place, it’s a true head-turner. It’s surprising, then, that the home hasn’t budged since being listed for $35 million back in 2015. Now, after three brokerages and millions of dollars in price reductions, Drexler’s condo is back on the market for $18.5 million, which amounts to a 47 percent reduction from the original price. It’s being co-listed by Richard Orenstein of Halstead and Corcoran.

The fifth-floor townhouse spans 6,200 square feet and includes views of the Hudson River, which lies two blocks to the west. The property has 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a delightful eat-in kitchen set off by the building’s original cast-iron columns, an inviting library, and a commercial-size elevator.

Drexler hired the services of French architect Thierry Despont to transform the apartment, which was once an industrial warehouse, into a sensory overload of colors, layers, and textures perfectly befitting the former CEO of a leading apparel brand. Take a look:
