Lena Dunham long since moved on from her starter apartment in Brooklyn Heights, what with her “Girls”-inflated bank account and that live-in situation with her boyfriend, Jack Antonoff.
But even though Dunham moved on, the lovely 1-bedroom unit in a nice co-op building at 145 Hicks Street stayed under her ownership — at least until now.
Thanks to Women’s Wear Daily, we now know that Dunham’s apartment (Unit #B68) has sold in an off-market deal for $850,000. The closing shows that the new owners of Dunham’s apartment owned unit #A68, so a combination of the two units may be in order. The pair are founders and principals of the architectural and design firm STUDIOKCA, according to 6sqft.
According to WWD, Dunham — who paid $500K for the unit in 2012 — had been renting the place to Antonoff’s sister, Rachel. At any rate, Dunham is ensconced in a $4.8M condo in Brooklyn Heights, which she bought in 2014. The 3,200-square-foot unit more than makes up for any sentimental value lost in the sale of her first, real Brooklyn abode.
