A new middle-income housing lottery in Bed-Stuy has launched at 633 Marcy Ave. that will bring 20 affordable apartments to Bed-Stuy. The new building will rise seven stories between Hart and Pulaksi Streets, adding 65 units to this part of central Brooklyn. The building will feature a grocery store on its ground floor with residences spanning the upper six floors. The roof will feature communal outdoor space.
Of the 65 units, 20 apartment have been designated as affordable, and will be available to renters earning between 80 and 130 percent of the area median income. Rents will start at $1,102 and range to $2,665, depending on unit size and the applicant’s income level. See the chart below for a breakdown of apartment size and income qualifications.
People with disabilities impacting their mobility, vision and hearing will receive special preference in the application process.
Planned building amenities include a gym, communal rooftop terrace, a laundry room and virtual doorman. The apartment feature large windows, newly renovated interiors and private balconies. Some apartments offer washer and dryers in-unit.
