This Park Slope 1-bedroom offers stunning interiors, solid amenities and some serious value. It was a clear favorite for our Rental of the Week.
Address: 207A Prospect Ave. #3A
Price: $2,400
Size: 1-bedroom
Neighborhood: Park Slope
Best feature: Take a twirl through the images above and it’s immediately apparent that the interiors of this apartment are gorgeous. There are two features, however, you may not glean from the images alone. First, there’s a washer and dryer in the unit. And second, this apartment is one of just three units in the building. This is a huge plus, ensuring a more intimate living environment and less competition for the building’s shared roof deck.
Why it’s a deal: At $2,400, this apartment is asking $150 less than the median asking price for 1-bedrooms in Park Slope. And while it is slightly more expensive than the median asking price for 1-bedrooms in Brooklyn, last recorded at $2,288, it offers a $100 discount off the median asking price for 1-bedrooms across New York City.
Biggest drawback: The building is located on in South Slope, on Prospect Avenue just up from Fourth Avenue. This puts it directly across the street from an offramp of the Prospect Expressway. (See Google Street View.) While the building itself offers plenty of curb appeal, renters should expect some traffic and noise outside the front door.
