Living near Prospect Park is the Brooklyn equivalent of living near Central Park: it’s convenient and desirable, but often comes with a high price tag. Luckily, some neighborhoods surrounding the park boast lower prices than others. Take Prospect Lefferts Gardens, for example. This neighborhood to the east of the park offers lower prices than Park Slope and Crown Heights, while still providing a great location. The median asking price for a home in Prospect Lefferts Gardens was $824,000 this April, according to the StreetEasy Data Dashboard. That puts our Deal of the Week at a little over half the median asking price for the neighborhood!

But if you’re looking to buy near Prospect Park without breaking the bank, keep this one on your list!
