We’re just guessing but having a second baby this past December may be a good reason why Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie and her husband, Michael Feldman, have listed their Tribeca loft-like apartment for sale. The 77 Reade Street fifth-floor unit is a generous 2,691 square feet and carries a list price of $5.995 million.
LLNYC was first to notice the for-sale sign at the 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom unit that Feldman (a political consultant) bought for $3.8 million in 2012. The apartment remained in his name since then. But now that this is a 4-person cast for the “Today” show anchor, a more kid-friendly apartment, building or home may be in order.
The apartment features an open living room, kitchen and dining area that is well lit by five floor-to-ceiling windows. There’s a nice bar area centered around thermo oak cabinets and granite counter and sink and — the ideal appliance for cocktail hour — an ice maker.
A large master suite is connected to a master bath with double vanity, deep soaking tub and rainfall shower.
The remaining bedrooms are on the opposite side of the apartment, and could be converted from two rooms to the original three-bedroom layout in addition to the master.
