Scoore! Brassard Nabs $4.1M Tribeca Pad

A year after inking a $25 million contract extension with the New York Rangers, star center Derick Brassard has decided to pour some of that cash back into the New York real estate market. And, fitting for a 27-year-old, the Quebec native has put himself at home downtown where Tribeca meets Soho.

According to the sleuths at The Real Deal, Brassard is the buyer for a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom condo at One York. The Broadway Blues iceman paid $4.1 million and gets a manly abode with chef’s kitchen, 14-foot ceilings, views of the Empire State Building and, most important for anyone who spends his professional life in clammy, sweaty skates, the floors are heated.

Brassard is making the big-boy move ahead of the 2015-2016 season, which kicks off for the Rangers on Sept. 21 at Madison Square Garden against the New Jersey Devils. Brassard had a stellar campaign last season, racking up 19 goals and 41 assists.
