williamsburg 1br

Our Rental of the Week comes equipped with a killer kitchen — and an in-unit washer & dryer.

Williamsburg has so much to offer beyond just the hipness factor. It has great parks, awesome views of Manhattan, and an unparalleled bar and restaurant scene. All that and more can be yours with our Rental of the Week, a Williamsburg 1BR that’s beautifully located to take advantage of the neighborhood, and significantly below its average price too.

Address: 115 S. Eighth St. #10

Price: $2,200

Size: 1-bedroom

Neighborhood: Williamsburg

Best feature: What an inviting kitchen! It’s spacious, it’s stylish, it would be a pleasure to cook in — and eat in, with that handy breakfast bar. The appliances are new, and off to the side, nestled into its own nook, is the best appliance of all: your very own washer and dryer. Score! This apartment is also in easy walking distance to so much neighborhood greatness: The famed Peter Luger Steak House is just around the corner, not to mention local standouts like Marlow & Sons and Pies ‘n’ Thighs. It’s a short walk to the waterfront and the ferry, the Williamsburg Bridge’s pedestrian and bike paths, and the fantastic Domino Park.

Why it’s a deal: The median rent for a Williamsburg 1BR is $2,999. In fact, the median rent for a 1BR in Brooklyn overall is $2,450, which puts this apartment $800 below average for the neighborhood, and $250 below average for the borough as a whole. It’s a deal any way you look at it.

Biggest drawback: For a kitchen that’s been so beautifully renovated, it’s very odd that there is no dishwasher. The space is rather narrow, particularly the bedroom. And while there are two closets, neither of them are in the bedroom, which might make getting dressed in the morning a bit awkward.
