Williamsburg Lottery Offers 41 New Apartments Starting at $1,231

A new Williamsburg rental development has opened a new housing lottery for middle-income earners with units starting at $1,231. A total of 41 modern apartments are being made available to eligible applicants who are at 80 percent, 100 percent and 120 percent of the area median income.

Located at 123 Hope St., the new 7-story development contains a total of 136 apartments, with a portion of them set aside for this lottery opportunity. Applicants must earn between $44,160 for  a single person at 80 percent AMI, all the way up to $135,240 for a 5-person household earning at 120 percent AMI. The eligible income thresholds are listed in the chart below:

Rental rates will range from $1,231 to $1,772 for a studio; between $1,320 to $2,292 for a 1-bedroom, and $1,591 to $2,759 for a 2-bedroom, based on income levels. Those reduced rates for lottery winners are below market rents being asked at 123 Hope St., which range from around $2,400 for a studio to $3,830 for a 2-bedroom.

The new luxury building was designed by Aufgang Architects with interiors by Craft Studio, which delivered soothing, sophisticated colors and finishes. It’s close to the G, L, J, M, and Z subway lines.
