The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development announced the opening of a Housing Connect lottery for 107 affordable apartments at Crotona Terrace Building B, located at 1825 Boston Road in the Crotona Park East neighborhood of the Bronx.

Lottery applications are being accepted for 10 studio apartments, 25 one-bedroom apartments, 58 two-bedroom, and 14 three-bedroom apartments. The rents range from as low as $368 a month for a studio apartment to $1,740 a month for a three-bedroom apartment.

Eligible households include individuals earning as little as $14,503 annually; two-person households earning a minimum of $15,498 annually; three- to four-person households earning a minimum of $18,515 annually; and five- to six-person households earning as low as $21,463 annually. The range of afforability goes up to $105,100 for a household of six. See details below:

Chart showing AMI requirements for Crotona Park east housing lotteryThe deadline to apply is March 15, 2017. Eligible applicants who have been selected can expect to start moving into their new homes by summer 2017.

In addition to units being made available through a lottery to eligible applicants, seven percent of the units will be set aside for mobility and vision or hearing disabled applicants. Preference for 50 percent of the units will be given to residents of Bronx Community Board 3. NYC employees are eligible for another five percent of the units.
