Two newly-constructed units have opened up for an affordable housing lottery at 303 Stanhope Street in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. The building is located conveniently to the L and M trains as well as the B13 and B38 bus lines.
Both of the available units are two-bedrooms, which will have a monthly rent of $1,030. Applicants who plan on a two-person household should have an annual income between $35,314 to $43,500; if three people live in the apartment, the maximum annual income rises to $48,960; and if four people will occupy the unit, the income rises to $54,740. More details can be found on this informational page via NYC Housing Connect’s portal.
If you want to take advantage of this great deal, then the time to act is now. The lottery is only open until Aug. 31 and the lucky winners will be contacted for interviews and the rest of the move-in process within a few months after that deadline. Hopeful applicants can submit either in the mail, or online.
