Bronx Affordable Lottery 'Lynn's Place' Offers 26 Units

A new affordable housing lottery has opened for Lynn’s Place, a new development at 1060 Reverend James Polite Avenue in the Bronx. A total of 26 units are available to eligible applicants who earn at 50 and 60 percent of the area median income.

The 14 studios and 12 2-bedroom units will lease at $710, $862 and $1,107 a month, depending on income levels. Eligible annual income levels range from $26,229 to $57,240.

The Longwood development will offer an on-site resident manager, sun terrace, outdoor courtyard, community room, on-site laundry, bicycle storage, as well as some on-site social services for low income or formerly homeless households with special needs.

Lynn’s Place is a new construction project co-developed by Unique People Services and The Housing Collaborative, with a mix of 69 efficiency and two-bedroom apartments in a 7-story with cellar building. This is a green-design building that employs many systems to conserve heat, electricity and water.
