Update: Jennifer Lawrence’s super-posh penthouse at 400 E. 67th St. has sold after undergoing a dramatic price chop. The most recent price cut, the apartment’s second since hitting the market, brought the asking price down by more than 15% to an even $12 million. The sale is pending as of July 22, but if $12 million is indeed the final sale price, that’s a $3.6 million loss for J-Law. It seems the odds can’t always be “ever in your favor,” even for Katniss.

The Upper East Side may not be dripping with celeb cred in the same way that, say, Tribeca is, but certain pockets of it are certainly dripping with luxury. Just ask Jennifer Lawrence: The Oscar-winning actress — who has, in fact, owned in Tribeca as well — has been quietly trying to sell an ultra-posh “private park in the sky” at the Laurel, an impressive condo tower on East 67th Street in Lenox Hill.

J-Law bought the massive 3-bedroom, 4.5-bath penthouse unit back in 2016 for $15.6 million, according to the New York Post. It hit the market for $15.45 million in July, via Pamela D’Arc at Compass, and saw a quick 8% price decrease in August. It decreased again in November, by a rather sizable $2.25 million, to reach its current asking price of $12 million — so Lawrence is willing to take a loss to unload it, it seems. For reasons related to her recent wedding, perhaps?

Regardless, this apartment, like her X-Men character, certainly has mystique! The sprawling 4,000+ square feet of interior space is nearly doubled with a positively jaw-dropping 3,000+ square feet of private terrace space, spread across two levels with lush landscaping (yes, there is an actual grass lawn), river-to-river views, a full outdoor kitchen, a gas fireplace and a built-in ping-pong table. (Hey, why not? The Hunger Games aren’t the only games, you know!)

The interiors feature a suitably awe-inspiring chef’s kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 4.5 spa-like bathrooms, and an enormous master suite with access to the lower-level terrace. There’s also a double-sided limestone fireplace in the media room/great room, which has three exposures of floor-to-ceiling windows with eye-popping views in every direction.

Future buyers can foil the paparazzi with the building’s drive-in garage, from which you can access the lobby and elevators without having to step foot outside among the common folk. So start saving your money now, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
