When he signed a $27-million-dollar contract with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2013, veteran NBA player JJ Redick knew he’d be sticking around on the West Coast through the 2016-2017 season. But with the Clippers out of the playoffs this year, Redick may be looking ahead for new ways to keep busy. And who knows, maybe signing with the Nets or Knicks is a possibility when he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2017?

Fueling speculation is the report that Redick is under contract to buy a this Brooklyn penthouse in the very hip Dumbo condo at 51 Jay Street. The $4.25 million unit contains 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It’s perched on top of the building and boasts some pretty spectacular views of one of the most invigorating urban neighborhoods in the world. Monthly common charges for the 24-hour concierge building are $2,274 and taxes are an additional $1,553 monthly.

The former warehouse has 74 condo units, with a handful of penthouse units. There are also a slew of amenities, including a residents’ lounge, roof terrace, courtyard, fitness and yoga studios, children’s playroom and a pet grooming area.

Redick, who is married and is one of the NBA’s most prolific outside shooters, was a standout at Duke University, and fashions himself a foodie and cultural maven. He is also building an off-the-court brand with his unique podcast called The Vertical.
